Herlinda Hernandez

Herlinda Ramos Hernandez of Uvalde passed away on December 11, 2017 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 67. She was born on July 29, 1950 in Uvalde to Mateo Calsado and Petra (Rodriguez) Ramos. She married Jose Rios Hernandez in Uvalde in 1970.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years of Uvalde; daughters, Rachel Salazar of Austin and JoAnn Garcia and husband, Rick of San Antonio; sons, Jose Hernandez Jr., and wife, Teresa of Dallas and John Paul Hernandez of Uvalde; sisters, Luisa Godina of Rio Grande Valley, Juanita Briseno, Beatrice Cisneros, Belia Vasquez, Lupe Gonzales all of Uvalde, Margie Elemen of San Antonio, Gloria Limones of San Antonio and Susana Moya of California; brothers, Mario Ramos of Uvalde and Raul Ramos of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joe Anthony Ybarra, Steven Ybarra, Enrique Garcia, Daniel Hernandez, Tony Hernandez and Vladimir Fragozo.
