Herlinda Mendoza

Herlinda Mendoza of Uvalde passed away on June 27, 2017 at her residence at the age of 79. She was born on August 25, 1937 in Villa De La Paz, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Carlos and Ester (Gaitan) Martinez.
She married Valente T. Mendoza on January 1, 1956 in Villa De La Paz, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
She is survived by her daughters, Leticia Mendoza Carreon and husband, Miguel, Dora Mendoza and companion Fidencio Garcia and Gloria Gonzales and husband Juan all of Uvalde; son, Carlos Mendoza and Valente Mendoza both of Uvalde; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Martin Mendoza.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert Arredondo, Jr., Valente Mendoza III, Carlos Mendoza, Jr., Miguel Carreon, Jr., Juan Gonzalez, Jr., Emma Valeria Mendoza and Valente Carreon
