Herlinda Salazar

Herlinda R. Salazar of Uvalde passed away October 2, 2007 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 86.

She was born August 18, 1921 in La Pryor, Tx. to Serafin Rosa Roman.

She is survived by her daughters, Olga Lozano husband, Manuel; Martha Garcia husband, Jesus Garcia, Sr.; Lula Nevarez, all of Uvalde; son, Roman Salazar wife, Dolores of Uvalde; sister, Santos Martinez of Uvalde; brothers, Francisco Roman; George Roman; Emilio Roman; Serafin Roman, Jr. , all of Uvalde; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren numerous nieces nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roman Salazar; daughter, Irma Salazar; brother, Heraclio Roman; son-in-law, Ricardo Nevarez grandchildren, Dolly Arreola Jewelian Arreola.

A rosary will be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary on Wednesday Thursday at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Fr. Wieslaw Iwaniec will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Richie Nevarez; Jay Garcia; Gabriel Salazar; Marcos Lozano; Albert Roman; Lane Ray Garcia; Juan Polanco; Ricky Gallardo.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
