Herman Welch

Herman Leo Welch of Uvalde passed away on February 22, 2010 in University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 89. He was born on August 23, 1920 in Vance, Texas to Lon and Dora Ann Welch. He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Welch of Uvalde, Texas four sons Dan Welch and wife, Barbara Gary Welch and wife, Alma Billy Welch and wife, Shirley all of Uvalde, Texas Fred Welch and wife, Laura of Pasadena, Texas three sisters Mary Lee Engelke and Billie Jo Fellers both of Boerne, Texas Bobbie Ray Dodd of Carmen, Texas three brothers Clyde Welch of Uvalde, Texas W.A. Tooter Welch of Lovelady, Texas Larry Welch of Sabinal, Texas nine grandchildren seven great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents first wife Leila Jo Welch two brothers Pete Welch and Norman Snooks Welch and one sister Gertrude Hermes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Burial will be in the Vance Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Gary Welch Jr., Daniel Jones, Freddy Welch Jr., Corey Welch, Krista Welch, Amanda Welch, Valerie Welch, Amy Welch and Jennifer Mosqueda. Honorary pallbearers will be Garland Armstrong, Will Elrod, Stanley Keeney, Aubrey Haynes, Gene Haynes, Sam Barron, Lonnie Horton, Bud Harrington and William Copple.
