Herminia Alejandro

Herminia Borrego Alejandro of Sabinal passed away on October 29, 2021 at her residence at the age of 82.  She was born on July 2, 1939 in Sabinal, Texas to Aniseto Borrego and Juanita Guevara.

She married Antonio Pina Alejandro in Sabinal on April 26, 1958.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years of Sabinal; daughters, Margarita Flores of Uvalde, Rosa Flores of Uvalde, Janie Alejandro of Sabinal, and Minita Martin of Temple; sons, Tony Alejandro of Sabinal, Aniseto Alejandro of Sabinal, Armando Alejandro of D’Hanis; Ernest Alejandro of Sabinal, Anthony Lee Alejandro of Sabinal and Albert Alejandro of Sabinal; 31 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lile Esparza and Diamantina Gomez; and brothers, Meliton Borrego and Baltazar Borrego.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sabinal.  Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Sabinal.

Pallbearers will be Tony Alejandro, Aniseto Alejandro, Armando Alejandro, Ernest Alejandro, Anthony Alejandro, and Albert Alejandro.
