Hilberto Zamora, Sr.

Hilberto F. Zamora, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on September 28,2014 at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde at the age of 74. He was born on July 21, 1940 to Santiago and Santos Fernandez Zamora. He married Olga Rene Cardona October 3, 1965 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 48 years of Uvalde sons, Hilberto Zamora, Jr. and his wife Griselda Salinas of Uvalde, Javier Zamora and his companion Casey Tully of San Antonio and Jaime Zamora and his wife Marissa of Las Cruces, NM sisters, Esther Silva of San Antonio and Santos Alvarez of Uvalde brothers, Mike Zamora, Sr. of Uvalde 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Thomas Zamora and James Zamora. A rosary will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Silva, Jaime D. Zamora, Armando Cardona, Jr. Adrian Cardona, Roy Cardona, Gilbert Zamora III, Mario Cardona and Andy Zamora.
