Horacio Moreno

Horacio Armando Moreno of Uvalde passed away on October 2, 2017 at his residence at the age of 61. He was born on June 13, 1956 in Uvalde to Elida (Torres) and Horacio G. Moreno.
He was a veteran and served in the Navy for four years.
He is survived by a son, Horacio A. Moreno II and wife, Diana Martinez of Houston; daughter, Bianca Alena Perez and husband, Elmer of Chicago, IL; mother, Elida Moreno of Uvalde; two brothers, Albert Moreno and wife, Vicky of San Antonio and Hector Moreno and wife, Alice of Del Rio; five grandchildren, Ilianna Moreno, Joseph Perez, Laelani Perez, Xavier Perez, and Abel Portillo, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10 AM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow in Hillcrest. Pallbearers will be Horacio Moreno II, Gilbert Torres, Jr., Eloy Alvarez, Victor Guzman, Alberto Moreno, and Tony Moreno. Honorary pallbearer will be Alex Castillo.
