Hortencia Gonzales

Hortencia Salazar Gonzales of Pearland, formerly of La Pryor passed away on August 1, 2012 at Southeast Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston at the age of 86. She was born on September 19, 1925 in Brackettville to Roman and Teofila Talamantez Salazar. She married Andres Perez Gonzales on November 1938. She lived in La Pryor up until 1993 then moving to Katy, Texas , then Pearland, Texas in 1997 and lived there until her death. She is survived by her daughters, Adriana Parker of Tupelo, Mississippi and Gloria Gonzales Tighe and husband James of Katy sons, Fernando Gonzales and wife Angelica of La Pryor and Andres Gonzales Jr. and wife Margarita of Pearland grandchildren, Fernando Gonzales Jr., Anida Jean Levesque, LeRoy Gonzales, Christina Isabel Gonzales, Gerardo Rodriguez Jr., Andres Gonzales III, Serena Barrera, Grizelda Babcock and Leslie Norris and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and 3 children. A rosary will be held on Saturday August 3, 2012 and Sunday August 4, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in La Pryor. Burial will follow at the La Pryor Cemetery.
