Hortencia Leon

Hortencia Gonzalez De Leon of Uvalde passed away on June 15, 2017 at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 90. She was born on November 4, 1926 in Campwood, Texas to Alejandro and Maria (Carbajal) Gonzalez. She married Alonzo De Leon on June 21, 1955 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.
She is survived by her sister, Sulema Hidalgo of Monahans, Texas; brothers, Reyes Gonzales of South Carolina and Jose Gonzalez of Odessa; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Rosa Flores and Fernanda Hoffman; brothers, Alejandro C. Gonzales, and Rodolfo Gonzalez
A rosary will be held on Sunday and Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
