Howard Consford

Howard Ray "Daddy Ray" Consford of Knippa passed away on August 13, 2017 at his residence at the age of 87. He was born on June 1, 1930 in Martinsville, TX to Stonewall Jackson Consford and Ella Evaline Powers Consford. He married Mary Lee Hooker in Houston on November 28, 1952. She preceded him in death in 1996. He is survived by a son, Phillip Consford of Knippa; four grandchildren, Cheyenne Washman of Killeen; Amber Garcia of Crosby; Mandy Burton and husband, Jeff of Huffman; and Bradley Scott Matthews and wife, Sara of Vacaville, CA; and seven great-grandchildren, Roseland Joyce Washman of Killeen; Justin Heinrich of Louisiana; Jacob and Sara Garcia, both of La Pryor; Emma Matthews and Bradley Scott Matthews, Jr., both of Vacaville, CA; and Reagan Burton of Huffman; and sister, Verda "Tody" Ballow of Centerville, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Phyllis Wood; and five brothers and five sisters. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Resthaven Cemetery, Houston, TX.
