Hoyt M. Foster of Vanderpool, TX passed away on February 21, 2015 at the age of 94. He was born July 29, 1920 in Vanderpool, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents L.S. Foster and Ella Clayton; son, Charles Milton Foster, and many other beloved family members. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Bonnie Foster; two daughters, Darlene Bowie and husband, Phillip of Bandera; and Bonnie Langram of San Antonio; four step-children, Malinda Robison, James Schmidt, Nathan Schmidt, and Matthew Schmidt and their spouses; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Foster was in the service during WWll and was involved with early radar and radio technologies. After the service he worked civil service for 32 years, again in radar and radio technologies. After his retirement with Civil Service, Mr. Foster went into business for himself. He worked in Radio Technology , TV Satellite, and sold and serviced police radio and repair to many local law enforcement and EMS agencies in the area. Mr. Foster was very active in the community affairs, ranching, EMS Services, and was on several National boards with underwriters Laboratory. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and was proud of his extended family and many friends. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Utopia Food Pantry in Utopia , Texas. Funeral services will be held graveside at Vanderpool Cemetery on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Jim Boyd will officiate.
