H.R. Flores

H.R. Eloy Flores of Uvalde passed away on May 20, 2010 at his residence at the age of 81. He was born on July 3, 1928 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Francisco and Pilar Flores. He married Bertha Luna on July 30, 1953 in Eagle Pass, Texas. He was in the Third Infantry Division in Korea. He served as a Texas Tech Trustee from 1977 to 1978. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Bertha Flores of Uvalde, Texas one daughter Martha Alicia Avalos and husband, Sergio of Corpus Christi, Texas two sons Jose Carlos Flores and wife, Margarita of Uvalde, Texas and Eduardo Flores of San Antonio, Texas three grandchildren Jose Carlos Flores Jr., Christina Fraire and husband, Esau all of Uvalde, Texas and Andres Antonio Avalos of Corpus Christi, Texas four great grandchildren Jose Carlos Flores III, Cristina Asmay Flores, Joel Fraire, and Alexander Tames Avalos three nieces Mary Flores, Teresa Gaytan and husband, Joe all of Uvalde, Texas and Patricia Young and husband, Ron of Florida cousins, Guadalupe Cortinas and husband, Michael of Brackettville, Texas and Ma De Jesus Cortinas and husband, Hector of Eagle Pass, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents. A rosary will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Cremation under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
