Inez Gonzales

Inez M. Gonzales of Uvalde passed away at her residence on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the age of 91. Ms. Gonzales was born on January 21, 1925 in Encinal, Texas to Merehildo and Santos (Garza) Maldonado. Ms. Gonzales married Concepcion Gonzales on April 6, 1942 in La Pryor. She is survived by two daughters, Margarita G. Castillon and husband Edmundo Jr. of Uvalde and Eva Mirelez of Kerrville; three sons, Pastor Jose C. Gonzales and wife Ramona of San Antonio, Jesse Gonzales of Victoria and Carlos Gonzales and wife Delia of Bloomington; sister, Alicia Mosqueda of Saginaw, Michigan; brother, Merehildo Maldonado Jr. of La Pryor; thirty-four grandchildren, sixty-eight great grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Concepcion Gonzales, parents, daughter, Francisca G. Salazar, three sons, Ruben Gonzales, Jose Luis Gonzales and Adam Gonzales, two sisters, Eloisa Garza and Torivia Rodriguez and two brothers, Atanacio Maldonado and Jose Maldonado.
A prayer service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral service for Ms. Gonzales will be on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 am at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow in La Pryor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jose Gonzales Jr., Jimmy Castillon, Arnoldo Salazar , Adam Gonzales Jr., Jesse Jason Gonzales and Joe Gonzales.
