Irene Ramirez

Irene B. Ramirez of Uvalde passed away July 9, 2007 in Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio, Tx. at the age of 81.

She was born October 23, 1925 in Harlingen, Tx. to Adelaido Antonia Ramirez.

She is survived by a daughter, Janie Alvarez husband, Greg of Dallas, Tx.; sons, Sergio Porras wife, Zulema Eddie Ramirez, all of Uvalde, Tx.; Omar Ramirez wife, Margarita of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Edward Ramirez.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Sergio Porras, Jr.; Eddie Ramirez; Brandon Ramirez; Brian Ramirez; Greg Alvarez; Fili Reyna; C.J. Guzman; Chris Reyna.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Jessica Reyna; Michelle Luevano; Jennifer Garcia; Nikki Aviles; Joanna Munoz; Angie Hurtudo.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
