Irma Valdez

Irma Valdez of Knippa passed away on October 8, 2009 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 53. She was born on November 29, 1955 in Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico to Juan and Ofelia Hernandez. She married Rosendo Valdez in Uvalde, Texas on March 1, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 2 years Rosendo Valdez of Knippa, Texas; parents; Juan Hernandez of Houston, Texas and Ofelia Trejo of Sabinal, Texas; four daughters; Veronica Valdez and husband, Fernando Vasquez of Mexico; Florinda Llanes and husband, Jesus of Uvalde, Texas; Martha Cortez and husband, Rodolfo Jr.; and Carla Valdez all of Knippa, Texas; one son; Rosendo Valdez Jr. and wife, Concepcion of Houston, Texas; one sister; Cynthia Trejo of Austin, Texas; one brother; Javier Hernandez of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Mario Hernandez. A prayer service will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 2:00 PM in Knippa Catholic Cemetery.
