Jack Moreland

Jack Lee Moreland of Uvalde passed away on May 28, 2011 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. He was born on January 5, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas to Max Lee and Alma Pressler Moreland. He is survived by two daughters, Kay Oliphant and husband Kenny of Uvalde, Texas and Lee Ann Collier and husband Richard of Leakey, Texas grandchildren, Gena Oliphant, Wes Collier and wife, Kristen, Tyler Collier and Koby Collier niece Judy Wilkirson and husband Sid of Bandera, Texas and caretaker, Lorene Gremmel of Uvalde, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Maxine Carson Moreland, parents and sister, Evelyn Steinle. Honorary Pallbearers are Wes Collier, Tyler Collier, Koby Collier, Brian Alvarez, Mike Frye, and Manza Hale Jr. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11:00 am at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel with Rev. Scott Bradford officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bob King Ministries or First United Methodist Church of Uvalde.
