Jack Rumfield

Henry Jackson "Jack" Rumfield of Carrizo Springs passed away on July 24, 2017 in Carrizo Springs. He was born on January 23, 1947 in Uvalde to Sam Houston Rumfield and Montie Lee Jones Rumfield. He married Audra Legler in Uvalde on April 1, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Audra Rumfield of Carrizo Springs; two daughters, Lou Ann Hayes of Carrizo Springs and Rhonda Linehan of Batesville; step-daughter, Katherine Gomez and husband, Juan, Gomez, Jr. of Uvalde; sister, Sandra Gatlin of Liverpool, TX; sister-in-law, Theresa Legler Finch and husband, Dennis of Sugarland; niece, Sammi Hill and husband, Travis of Smithville; two nephews, Darrell Gatlin and wife, Roseanne of Liverpool and Chris Coker and wife, Krystal of Sugarland; three grandchildren, James Lee Hayes, Jazzlean Gomez, and Aubrey Gomez, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sam H. Rumfield, Jr., and brother-in-law, Mike Gatlin. Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow in Batesville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James White, Jon Taylor, James "Bud" Lee, R.B. Cardwell, Chris Coker, Joe Peters, Levon Sweeten, and Dennis Finch. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Kirk, Jerry Killen, and Roger Ballard.
