James Armstrong, Sr.

James Popeye Jim Armstrong, Sr. of Uvalde, formerly of Asherton and Carrizo Springs, passed away on July 6, 2013 in Uvalde Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 76. He was born on May 19, 1937 to Mildred McDonald McRorey and raised by Elvin Cook. He is survived by his daughter, Sadona Woody and husband, Robert and son, James A. Armstrong, Jr. all of San Antonio two sisters, Martha Lou Holden of La Coste, Melba Kistner and husband Richard of MoorPark, CA one brother, Kirby McRorey and wife Jeanne of Rockport, TX and four grandchildren, Robert and Dylan Woody, and Matthew and Megan Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and wife, Wanda Armstrong. Cremation was under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
