James Dale Kramer passed away at his home on October 27, 2022. He was born July 15, 1943 in Uvalde County at the Merritt Hospital to Edna Werth Kramer and Marvin Kramer. He was the middle child of three. He is survived by his brother, Charles Kramer of Corpus Christi, Texas and his sister, Peggy Bielfeldt of Knippa, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is also survived by three nieces and a nephew, whom he loved dearly since he had no children of his own.
He grew up in Knippa and graduated from Knippa High School in 1961. He attended Sul Ross State College in Alpine and received his B.S. in 1965. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army and attended boot camp in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He worked for Shell Oil Company in Denver City Texas, a dry cleaner in Corpus Christi, and sold insurance for Banker's Life and Casualty, before moving back to Knippa in 1973. He then joined up with his brother-in-law, Dan Bielfeldt, to farm the Kramer family farm. During that period, he was hired as a math teacher by Knippa ISD.
He was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Knippa, where he was baptized and confirmed.
Burial in Knippa Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kris Benke, Jim Coleman, Jose Esquivel, Bracey Keeney, Travis Muecke and Lee Schawe.
