James Strother

James Edward Strother of Ft. Clark Springs passed away on March 7, 2014 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. He was born on August 30, 1930 in Bedford, Indiana to Lowell and Pauline Goodson Strother. He married Patricia Romanek in Grand Rapids, MI on August 22, 1964. He worked for American Seating Co. in Grand Rapids, MI for 37 years. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and Masons in Grand Rapids. He is survived by his wife of 49 years son, James Strother II and wife, Diane of Kalamazoo, MI daughter, Paula Gue and husband, Chuck of Muskegon, MI brothers, Jerry Strother of Vero Beach, FL and John Strother of Edgewater, FL two grandsons, Quentin Strother and Brandan Gue and two granddaughters, Chelsea Strother and Brandi Gue. Cremation was under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Brackettville.
