Jana Strawn

Jana Lee Strawn of Uvalde passed away on March 4, 2021 at Stone Oak Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 30.  She was born on February 25, 1991 in Uvalde to Ronald and Dorothy (Thompson) Strawn, Sr.

She is survived by her parents of Sabinal; three daughters, Adriana Covarrubias, Alise Covarrubias and Aniyah Covarrubias all of Sabinal; brother, Ronald Strawn Jr. and special friend, Heather Roberds of Uvalde; grandparents, Billie Thompson Broadhurst of Morristown, TN and Armando and Linda Gomez of Uvalde; great grandmother, Martha U. Luna of Uvalde; uncle, Samuel Thompson of Treadway, TN and numerous great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Avalani Covarrubias; grandfather, Gleason Alton Thompson Sr.; step grandfather, Benjamin Broadhurst and grandfather, Larry Strawn.

Visitation will begin on Monday at 2:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
