Janell Clary of DHanis passed away on January 29, 2009 in her residence at the age of 77. She was born on December 8, 1931 to Samuel and Marion Henderson. She married Otto Clary on June 8, 1954 in Sabinal, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Otto Clary of Sabinal, TX; one daughter; Barbara Jane Creech and husband, Leonard of Lone Oak, Texas; one son; Sidney Clary and wife, Pamela of D'Hanis, TX; eight grandchildren; Preston Meyer, Patrick Meyer and wife, Kim; Neal Meyer, Nathan Meyer, Jon Moore, Cameron Moore, Steven Clary and Melissa Clary; one great-grandchild; Mallory Ann Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; John Henderson and Robert Henderson. Mrs. Clary played the piano and organ at the Sabinal Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was a music teacher for 18 years at Sabinal Elementary School. After her retirement in 1988, she enjoyed fishing at Amistad Lake. According to the family she loved her grandchildren and enjoyed following their various sporting events.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Sabinal Methodist Church with burial to follow in Sabinal Cemetery. Rev. Don Snyder will be officiating. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons; Preston Meyer, Patrick Meyer, Neal Meyer, Nathan Meyer, Jon Moore and Steven Clary.
