Jean Blackman

Jean Franklin Blackman of Sabinal passed away on May 31, 2009 in Hondo Healthcare Rehab at the age of 78. She was born on May 16, 1931 in Del Rio, TX to Coleman Lyons and Audra Winn Franklin. She married William Amos Blackman on September 30, 1951 in Sabinas, Hidalgo, Mexico. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2002. She is survived by eight sons, William Eugene Blackman and wife, Patricia of San Antonio; Samuel Winn Blackman and wife, Gloria of Uvalde; Daniel Steven Blackman and wife, Cheryl of Utopia; Robert Lee Blackman of Dallas; Dennis Todd Blackman and wife, Michelle of La Vernia; Kerry Glenn Blackman and wife, Lisa of Leakey; Rodney Bruce Blackman of Aransas Pass; and John David Blackman of Houston; a sister, Sara Lou Snider and husband, Jim of Castroville; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Coleman Lyons Franklin, Jr.; and sister, Melvina Pearl Sawyer. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Sabinal Cemetery. Chaplain Jan Kerr will officiate.
