Jerald Doyle Dutch or J.D. Brown passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the age of 75. J.D. was born April 21, 1938 in Uvalde to Andrew and Georgie Ruth Connell Brown, the second of four children. He met his future wife, Wanda L. Taylor, while he was working as a cowboy on the Swenson Ranch in north Texas. Doyle and Wanda were married February 1, 1958 in Paducah, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 55 years son, Doyle Buddy Brown of Marble Falls, TX daughter, Doyleen Cissy Routh and husband, Roy of Uvalde three grandsons, Roy Routh, Jr. and wife, Katherine Rusty Routh and Dusty Routh three greatgrandsons, Cauy, Cole, and Cody Routh, all of Uvalde brother, Sterling Red Brown of Bandera sister, Vivian Jones of Uvalde uncle, Pecos Connell of Kerrville brotherinlaw, Wayne Taylor and wife, Ruby of Amarillo two sistersinlaw, Liz Foreman of Mineral Wells, TX and Betty Moisant and husband, Clead of Mid West City, OK numerous nieces, nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews and special friends, Beckie Brown and Judy Brown. J.D. was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Brown. One to help anyone that needed his assistance, he enjoyed fixing things and could make anything run when no one else could. J.D. also enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports and went to all their football and baseball games. J.D. was a cowboy, bulldozer operator for many years with York and Hall of Uvalde, and 18wheeler driver for 57 years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Cocchiaro, Foster Hearn, Roy L. Routh, Jr., Rusty Routh, Dusty Routh, and Cauy Routh.
