Jesse Bailey

Jesse Bailey of Uvalde passed away on October 24, 2012 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. He was born on May 14, 1923 in Call, Texas to Earnest and Sarah Jane Bivens Bailey. He was a long time member of Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Verian Huddleston Bailey of Uvalde daughter, Linda Waller and husband Charlie of Uvalde sisterinlaw, Mary Bailey Ingleside grandchildren, Charlene Waller of San Antonio, Amy Leonard of Tallahassee, Florida, and stepgranddaughter, Kristi Gerdes of Uvalde nephews, Glenn Bailey, Bill Bailey, Robert Bailey and Thomas Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents brother, Lonnie Bailey, previous wife, Lydia Grace Woods Bailey, daughter, Nelda Louise Leonard and granddaughter, Rhonda Lynn Waller. The family will greet visitors on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Williams, Jerry King, Tuck Wiebush, Leonard Poehler, Tommy Leonard and Scott Bradford.
