Jesus Alejandro

Jesus “Chuque” Alejandro of Sabinal, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 in San Antonio at the age of 93.

He was born on October 15, 1929 in Sabinal to Librado and Casimira (Alvarez) Alejandro.

He married Herminia Cortez on September 22, 1948 in Pecos, New Mexico.

Jesus is survived by two daughters, Nelida Velasquez and husband Arturo of San Antonio and Regina Rodriguez and husband Albert of Castroville; three sons, Lee Alejandro and wife Elda of Knippa, Manuel Alejandro and wife Nikol of San Antonio and Esteban Alejandro and wife Jeannette of Knippa; daughter-in-law Maria Alejandro of Uvalde; sister, Janie Garcia and husband Alex of San Antonio; three brothers, Francisco R. Alejandro and wife Ingla of Cibolo, Librado Alejandro Jr. of Dallas and Pete Alejandro of San Antonio; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife Herminia Alejandro, two sons, Jesus Alejandro Jr, and Agustin Alejandro, five sisters, Elena Rodriguez, Maria Hernandez, Josefina Alejandro, Leonor Calsado and Anita Rodriguez and brother, Francisco A. Alejandro.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2. 2022 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 7;00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sabinal. Interment to follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Lee Alejandro, Richard Alejandro, Matt Alejandro, Alberto Rodriquez, Jr., Roman Zulaica and Luke Alejandro. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Alejandro, Christian Alejandro and Justin Alejandro.
