Jesus Cruz

Jesus Cruz of Uvalde passed away on November 21, 2014 at his residence at the age of 93. He was born on September 3, 1921 in Piedras, Negras, Coahuila, Mexico to Anastacio and Maria Gonzalez Cruz. He married Francisca Esparza on February 13, 1988 in Zaragosa, Coahuila. He is survived by his wife, of Uvalde daughters, Janie Rodriguez and husband Domingo, Connie Flores and husband Raul all of Uvalde, Mary Cruz of Nashville,Tennessee, Rosie Cruz of San Antonio sons, Jesse Cruz and wife Soraya of Uvalde, Pete Cruz of San Antonio, Joe Cruz and wife Annie of Hobbs, New Mexico, Armando Cruz and wife Lupe, Mike Cruz and wife Amelia all of Uvalde stepson, Paulo Esparza and wife Rosa Elena of Wichita, Kansas sisters, Consuelo Arizmendi of Morelia, Michoacn and Virgina Cruz of Mexico City brother, Tomas Cruz and wife Paula of Uvalde 16 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents sisters, Hurbana Balio, Sulema Cruz, and Marta Cruz brothers, Jose Cruz, Simon Cruz, Lupe Cruz, and Anastacio Cruz and his first wife, Florencia Cruz. A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on November 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paulo Esparza, Jesse Cruz, Pete Cruz, Joe Cruz, Armando Cruz and Mike Cruz
