Jesus R. Perez

Jesus R. Perez, 84, of La Pryor passed away on Sept. 23, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on October 14, 1938, in La Pryor to Antonia (Rodriguez) and Seledonio Perez, Sr.

He married Esther Valdez on September 6, 1958, in La Pryor.

He is survived by three daughters, Isabel Perez and husband, Bobby Lopez, Marissa Hodges and husband, Isaac all of La Pryor and Linda Perez of Uvalde; sisters, Santa Martinez of La Pryor, Guadalupe Roman of Del Rio, Maria Carmen Aguilar of Hereford, Texas and brother Seledonio Perez, Jr. of La Pryor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, three sons, Jesus Perez, Jr., Johnny Joe Perez, and Juan Jose Perez; daughter, Jessica Perez; grandson, Noah Alexander Hodges; brother, Raul Perez; sisters Antonia Garcia, Mencha Flores, and Ramona Valdez.

Visitation will begin Tuesday 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday September 27, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor. Interment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Lopez, Joseph Perez, Jesse Perez, Crispin Perez, Gerardo Perez, Jacob Perez, Ernie Perez and Eric Perez
