Jesus I. "Chino" Ramos of Uvalde passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at his residence at the age of 62. Mr. Ramos was born on October 27, 1954 in Uvalde to Juanita (Ibarra) and Juan Ramos. He married San Juana Luna in Batesville on April 30, 1977. He survived by his wife of 39 years; two daughters, Roxanne Ramos and significate other Jaime Rodriguez of Uvalde; Patricia Ramos and significate other Jose A. Trevino Sr. of Uvalde; two sons, Jesus Ramos Jr. of San Antonio and Johnny Lee Ramos and significate other Amy Long of Uvalde; sisters, Rosa Robles (Santos) of Uvalde; Margarita Vasquez of Uvalde; Maria Ramos of Florida; Yolanda Briones of Lubbock; Tina Hudson of Austin and Andrea Ramos (Juan) of Uvalde; brothers, Roy Ramos (Netta) of Peoria, Ill.; Juan Ramos (Teresita) of Ft. Worth; Rolando Ramos (Maria) of Uvalde; Jose Ramos (Gloria) of Uvalde; eight grandchildren, Dalisha Rodriguez, Joshua Rodriguez, Dalilah Rodriguez, Malaki Lara, Jermiah Trevino, Jocelynn Rodriguez, Adalynn Trevino and Jose Trevino, Jr. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Ramos was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dora Elia Ramos, two nephews, Raul Vasquez, Jr. and Michael Robles.
A rosary will be held on Monday, February 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Edison, Abel Vasquez, Jr., Armando Perez, Joshua Rodriguez, Raul Vasquez III, Marco Ramos, John Michael Ramos and Chris Garcia.
