Jewel Calliham

Jewel E. Calliham of Uvalde passed away on November 25, 2009 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. She was born on July 6, 1920 in Brackettville, TX to Milton and Josie Lackey Weyerts. She is survived by a son, Jimmy Calliham of Uvalde; sister, Evelyn Estes of Brenham, TX; brother, Milton Boyd Weyerts and wife, Ruby of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Tricia Aguero and husband, Cesar; Jamie Calliham; and James Paxton Calliham; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Aguero and Kayden Van Wagner; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Calliham; parents; sister, Eltea McMains; and brother, James Weyerts. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Tony Gruben will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cesar Aguero, Ernest Aguero, Kenneth Freitag, Bryan Van Wagner, and James Paxton Calliham. Honorary pallbearer will be Kaden Van Wagner.
