Jimmie Campbell

Jimmie C. Campbell of Uvalde passed away on September 7, 2008 at his residence at the age of 65. He was born on September 18, 1942 in Littlefield, Texas to Cecil and La Verne Campbell. He married Lynda Dodd in Dimmitt, Texas on November 9, 1963. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynda Campbell of Uvalde, Texas; two sons; Jimmie Chip Campbell Jr. and wife, Laura of Cache, Oklahoma; and Corey Dodd Campbell and wife, Norma of Batesville, Texas; two brothers; Lynn Campbell and wife, Carolyn of Kerrville, Texas; and Steve Campbell and wife Kay, of Amherst, Texas; three grandchildren; Kristen Campbell of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; and Nicole and Briana Campbell both of Batesville, Texas; two aunts; Gwen Feagley and Charleyne Trotter both of Littlefield, Texas; sisters-in-law; Derryl Palmer and husband, Jim of Boise City, Oklahoma; and Leta Dennis and husband, Edgar of Dimmitt, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Musick, Stacy Musick, Drew Musick, Scott Campbell, Justin Campbell, and Brandon Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Reagan, Ron Royal, M.L. Fritz Coleman, Edd Cassin, Don Green, Mark Scheers, Steve Forehand, and Harold Lloyd.
