Jimmy Lee Eaker of Uvalde passed away on May 6, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 74. He was born on June 25, 1943 in O'Donnell, Texas to Melvin and Willie Bell (Lazenby) Eaker.
He married Jeanie Ham Eaker in Uvalde on September 28, 1982.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years of Uvalde; daughters, Kristal Eaker of San Antonio, Robin Lee Wilburn and husband, Ray of New Braunfels, Tina Melancon of New Iberia, LA, Mary Melancon of Bandera, Theresa Colbath and husband, Dock of Pleasanton ; sons, Jeff Ward and wife, Debbie of Pleasanton, Joe Ward and wife, Heather of Hondo; brothers, Harold Eaker of Uvalde, Edgar "Doc'' Eaker and wife, Elaine of Katy; Sister in Law, Ann Eaker of O'Donnell; grandchildren, CPL Dalton C. Stewart, USMC, Bj Kinsey, Christopher Kinsey, Clay Kinsey, Terry Meiners, Casey Schmidt, Amber Stevens, Tiffany Durnell, Joshua Ward and Hannah Ward; great grandchildren, Skylynn Denning, Griffin Denning, Cooper Kinsey, Lila Kinsey, Adelyn Dumell and Dane Meiners along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori Ann Gibbs; brother, Kenneth Eaker and sister in law, Karen Eaker.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at La Pryor Cemetery.
