Joan M. Kincaid of Uvalde passed away on September 19, 2018 at The Veranda at the age of 89. She was born on September 8, 1929 to Neva (Waters) and Robert Burrell Miller. She was born and raised in Houston, graduating from Lamar High School in 1947. She attended the University of Texas until leaving to marry in 1950. While there, she majored in Art and continued to paint and take art lessons throughout her life. While Joan attended U.T., her parents moved from Houston to Uvalde where Joan lived for the remainder of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and particularly enjoyed attending Reva Burns' Sunday School class. Joan was a homemaker who regularly hosted and participated in bridge clubs. She is survived by her two children, W.A. "Buzz" Kincaid, Jr. of Uvalde and Kathie Kincaid Vinson of San Antonio, and grandchildren, Robert Alexander Vinson, Stephen Burrell Vinson, and Joan Kincaid Vinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William Alexander Kincaid, Sr. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Lonnie Moore will officiate.
