Joaquin M. “Kino” Perez, of San Antonio, formally of Uvalde, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2024, at Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 55.
He was born on September 16, 1968, in Uvalde to Joaquin and Florentina (Martinez) Perez.
He is survived by his wife, Jade Jaschke of San Antonio; four daughters, Elise Marie Saiz and spouse, Cheryl Rivas of Uvalde, Michelle G. Perez, Jackie J. Jaschke all of Uvalde, and Erika Jaschke-Medina and husband, Anthony of San Antonio; three sons, Joaquin Palacios Perez, Michael Guerrero and companion, Sara Garcia, and Joaquin Jaschke, and wife, Kiana all of Uvalde; two sisters, Gloria Velasquez and companion, Fidel Ramos of Uvalde and Esther P. Blanco and husband, Marco of San Antonio; sixteen grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, special nephews, Robert Velasquez, Isaac Perez and Israel Briseño.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gilbert Perez.
Visitation will start on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 12 p.m. at with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Perez, Israel Briseño, Robert Velasquez, John Ray Velasquez, Larry Velasquez Jr. and Roy Perez.
