Joe Garza, Jr.

Joe A. Garza, Jr. of Uvalde passed away at Uvalde Memorial Hospital on June 14, 2013 at the age of 52. He was born on July 28, 1960 in Uvalde to Aurora and Jose A. Garza, Sr. He married Cynthia Martinez in Uvalde on February 4, 1983. He is survived by his wife of 30 years 2 daughters Monica Marie Garza and Rebecca Ann Garza both of Uvalde 3 sons, Ruben Ruiz, David Garza, and Joey Garza all of Uvalde 2 sisters, Mayta Garza of Uvalde and Anna Marie Garza of San Antonio 3 brothers, Rafael Garza and David Garza, both of Uvalde and Daniel Garza of San Antonio 3 grandchildren, Adalynn Ruiz, Derrick Amaya, and Victoria Garza father and motherinlaw, Yolanda and Juan Martinez, Sr. of Uvalde and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A rosary will be held on Saturday, June 15th and Sunday June 16th at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Andres Martinez, Miguel Vara, Rafael Garza, Daniel Garza, Juan Hernandez, Arturo Aguirre, Mike Ayala and Ralph Arias. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren, Derrick Amaya, Adalynn Ruiz and Victoria Garza.
