Joe Sandoval Jr.

Joe H. Sandoval Jr. of Uvalde passed away on May 18, 2008 at his residence at the age of 82. He was born on September 18, 1925 in Brackettville, Texas to Joe and Victoriana Sandoval Sr. He married Carmen Trevino on June 27, 1948 in Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carmen T. Sandoval of Uvalde, Texas; two daughters; Alda S. Cano of Uvalde, Texas and Norma S. Roman and husband George Jr. of Roundrock, Texas; two sons; Gilbert T. Sandoval and wife, Lucy and Humberto T. Sandoval and wife, Vangie all of Uvalde, Texas; three sisters; Paula Munoz and Agapita Morin both of Brackettville, Texas; and Ruberta Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas; one brother; Gregorio Sandoval of Bracketville, Texas; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son; Robert Sandoval. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Father Wieslaw Iwaniec will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Sandoval, Gilbert Buggy Sandoval, Humberto Sandoval, Michael Sandoval, Jesse Cano and David Cano.
