Joe Sepeda

Joe F. Sepeda of San Antonio formerly of Uvalde passed away on October 13, 2009 in Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 51. He was born on April 22, 1958 in Uvalde, Texas to Simon and Manuela Sepeda. He married Martha Guadiana in Brackettville, Texas on April 4, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 11 years Martha Sepeda of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter; Raquel Sepeda of Lubbock, Texas; one step-daughter; Mica Barba and husband, Jose of San Antonio, Texas; one step-son; Carlos R. Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters; Blanca Velasquez and husband, Remi; and Dora Estrada and husband, Bob all of Uvalde, Texas; two grandchildren; Yael Aurora Barba and Noemi Belen Barba; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; Simon and Manuela Sepeda; two aunts; Anita Flores and Eloisa Flores. A rosary will be held on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Julian Samora Legacy Project at samoralegacy.com or the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center.
