Joe Umlang

Joe Leslie Umlang of Utopia passed away on April 25, 2011 in Kerrville at the age of 71. He was born on August 15, 1939 in Utopia to Volney and Dorothy Boultinghouse Umlang. He married May Jean Seymour in Bullhead City, Arizona on April 3, 2003. He is survived by his wife of eight years sister, Inez Smith and husband, Kirmon Carroll of Utopia three stepdaughters, Diane White and husband, Mark of Bulverde Beverly Armstrong and husband, Gary of Canyon Lake, TX and Nancy Jean Perez and husband, Raymond of San Antonio eight grandchildren, Harley Culver Brandi Armstrong Clifton Armstrong Dustin Armstrong Shannon White Kay Lynn White Elizabeth Perez and Westley Perez five greatgrandchildren, Gracelyn Yantis John Ramos Savanna Ramos Christopher Culver and Harley David Culver two nephews, Michael Todd Smith of Blanco and Wade Smith and wife, Rhiannon of Hondo and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the 1st United Methodist Church in Utopia with burial to follow in Waresville Cemetery. Rev. Gerald Harvey will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mark White, Gary Armstrong, Gerald Adams, David Rainey, Sid Chaney, Ray Tampke, Rusty Boldt, and Carley Pilgrim. Honorary pallbearers will be coworkers at the City of San Antonio, and numerous cousins.
