Joe Henry Adame, of Uvalde, passed away on January 20th at Methodist Hospital-Stone Oak at the age of 40. He was born on December 27th, 1982, in San Antonio to Henry and Yvette (Salazar) Adame.
He married Shelly (Oakley) Adame on October 18th, 2007, in San Antonio. They lived in San Antonio for many years and welcomed four beautiful boys into the world together. Work moved the family to Virginia for seven years, but ultimately the family moved back to the Uvalde area to be closer to both of their families and this community.
Joe held a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Our Lady of the Lake University, as well as an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. He was a coach in San Antonio schools, but as his own team at home grew with the birth of twins, it was decided he would stay home with the boys. His family and raising respectful gentlemen was paramount. Joe was an avid follower of all things sports and his family eagerly fell into step with his passion. Joe left this world as an organ and tissue donor, helping over 50 people in creating his final team.
Joe is survived by his wife of 15 years, Shelly, and their four sons A.J., Cash, Luke, and Drew, all of Uvalde; his father Henry Adame, mother Yvette Salazar, sister Starr Salinas, and paternal grandmother Gloria Adame, all of San Antonio; mother-in-law Alicia Oakley of Uvalde; brother-in-law Arthur Robert Oakley IV (Sarah) of College Station and their son Arthur. Joe also has a large extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins who love him very much.
