John Harris, Sr.

John Lee Harris, Sr. passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 in Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on August 28, 1928 to Ralph and Roxie Byrd Harris in Madison, Kansas. He married Lilly Mae Wolff on July 2, 1949 in Uvalde. He is survived son, John Lee Harris, Jr. of Concan daughters, Lana Lee Brin of Hampton, Va Lynda Kay Ward of Concan five grandchildren Heather Lewis of Austin, David J. Brin of New Orleans, La.Virginia Ward Jackson of San Antonio, Christopher Brin of Newport News, Va. and Benjamin Q. Ward IV of Concan eight greatgrandchildren Catherine Jackson, Scottie Jackson and Hadley Jackson all from San Antonio, Seth Lewis and Rue Lewis both from Austin, Jonah Ward of Concan, Leyla Brin of Newport News, Va. and Kaylee Brin of New Orleans, La. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lilly Mae Harris. Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Uvalde Cemetery.
