John Mcclure

John Vernon McClure of Knippa passed away on October 3, 2018 at the Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 79. He was born on May 10, 1939 in Uvalde to Cecil Moses and Bessie Rose (Pinkston) McClure.
He was married to his 1st wife Patty Quillan in Acuna in 07/22/1959 then later to his 2nd wife Wanda Stanley in Uvalde on 05/23/1979.
Mr. McClure is survived by his daughter, Melissa Tucker and husband, Ray of Bulverde; step daughter, Deborah Lindley and husband, Lamar of Fredericksburg; son, Joe McClure of San Antonio; step son, Bryan Herman and wife, Michelle Murrieta of California; 5 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both his parents; brothers, Robert McClure, Davis McClure; sister, Willie Bell and 2nd wife.
A funeral service will be held Saturday October 6, 2018 at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary Chapel at 1:00 p.m. following interment at Knippa cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Lindley, Larry Capuchin, RJ McClure, Cole Gavlick, John McClure, Bubba Cox and Hunter Herman.
