Johnny Alvarado formally of Uvalde passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 in San Antonio at the age of 57.
Johnny was born on October 11, 1962 in Uvalde.
He is survived by two sisters, Diane Tafolla and husband Frank and Debbie Rodriguez and husband David all of San Antonio; two brothers, Raymond Velos and wife Irma of Uvalde and Victor Velos and wife Rosa of San Antonio; two aunts, Geneva Alvarado and Andrea Lara of Uvalde; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, two great nephews and a host of friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his mother Frances Alvarado Uriegas, stepfather Gonzalo Uriegas, Jr. and brother Alfredo Velos.
Visitation will start on Thursday, December 18, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Tafolla, David Rodriguez, Raymond Velos, Christopher Velos, Thomas Guillis and Gilbert Barajas.
