Johnny Gonzales

Johnny Joe Zamora Gonzales of Uvalde passed away on November 28, 2013 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 41. He was born on June 25, 1972 in San Antonio to Elida Zamora and Guadalupe Garcia. He married Veronica Najera on December 22, 1990 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 22 years mother of Uvalde father of Austin stepfather, Isabel Gonzales of St. Paul, Minnesota daughters, Emmy Lu Silva and husband Sgt. Steven Rey and Leanyssa Su Gonzales son, Johnny Joe Gonzales II and wife Maria Rios all of Uvalde sisters, Janette Gonzales of St. Paul, Minnesota and Irma Linda Aparecio and husband J.C. brother, Rafael Ruiz III all of Uvalde 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesus and Pilar Zamora and his in laws, Mr. Mrs. Felipe Najera Sr. A rosary will be held on Saturday and a vigil on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Emmy Lu Silva, Steven Silva, Johnny Gonzales II, Meme Jimenez, Rafael Ruiz III and Juan Carlos Aparecio.
