Jose Rodriguez

Jose Arthur Rodriguez, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on July 23, 2022, at his residence at the age of 78.

He was born on August 9, 1943, in La Pryor, Texas to Jose Rodriguez and Sara (Flores).

He married Nicolasa Lopez in Uvalde on April 2, 1966.

Jose is survived by his wife Nicolasa Rodriguez of Uvalde of 56 years; daughters; Josie Rodriguez and husband Edward, and Elsie Galindo and husband Gavino all of Uvalde; son,  Arturo and wife Dora Rodriguez of Uvalde, Texas; brothers,  Alejandro Rodriguez, Artemio Rodriguez, and Armando Rodriguez and wife, Odilia all of Uvalde, Texas; sisters, Nelia Salazar of La Pryor, Rosa Elia Rodriguez of Chicago Il., Veronica Flores and husband Roberto of Merkel, Texas, Zinna Aguilera and husband Juan and Cynthia Martinez and husband, Cipriano of Uvalde, Texas; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mario Alberto Rodriguez and Arnoldo Rodriguez; sisters Alicia Gonzalez and Sylvia Magdaleno.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday July, 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM followed by a rosary at 7 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde, Texas. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde, Texas. Internment will follow in La Pryor, Texas at La Pryor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Arturo Rodriguez, Sean Rodriguez, Bryan Rodriguez, Jeremy Herrera, Joshua Herrera, and Edward Rodriguez, Jr.
