Jose Balandran

Jose Simon Balandran, beloved Brother, Father and Uncle went to be with his Lord on November 4, 2013 in Uvalde, Texas at the age of 55. Simon was born on July 2, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Guadalupe Balandran and Mercedes Balandran Hernandez. He is survived by his children Jose Simon, Jr., Danielle Maria, Donald Guadalupe and Robert William Balandran of Edison, NJ. His sister, Magdalena B. Muniz of San Antonio, TX, his brothers Edgar Balandran of Rock Island , Illinois, Jose Guadalupe Balandran, Jr. of Schweinfurt, Germany, and Steven Pena of Chula Vista, CA. His nieces, Marissa and husband Rick Martinez of Panama City, FL, Magdalena and husband Mario Carmona, Amanda and husband Daniel Martinez of San Antonio, TX. Simon was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan and loved spending time with his nieces, greatnieces and greatnephews. We would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Uvalde Health Care Rehabilitation Center for their loving care during the final chapter of his life.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 408 Ft. Clark, Uvalde, TX 78801. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held after the memorial at RushingEstesKnowles Hall, 220 S. Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of his greatnephew Miguel Angel Carmona, memorials may be made to the Texas Kidney Foundation, 45 NE Loop 410, Suite 255, San Antonio, TX 78216.
