Jose Cruz Jr.

Jose G. Cruz Jr. of Uvalde passed away on November 12, 2009 in his residence at the age of 91. He was born on March 17, 1918 in Uvalde, Texas to Jose and Petra Cruz. He is survived by two daughters; Minerva Cruz of Austin, Texas; and Viola Rodriguez of Waco, Texas; one son; Jesse Cruz and wife, Irma G. of Austin, Texas; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Rita L Cruz; brother; Frank Cruz; and two sisters; Maria Cruz and Rosa Olivarez. A rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, November 16, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
