Jose A. Galvan of Uvalde passed away on November 4, 2013 at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 48. He was born on September 1, 1965 in Eagle Pass to Manuel and Amelia Blanco Galvan. He married Sandra Gonzales on February 3, 2002 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 11 years daughters, Gabriella Villarreal of Uvalde and Katherine Villarreal of Odem son, Ruben Villarreal of Uvalde sister, Sylvia Velasquez and husband Gilbert of Victoria brother, Jesse Galvan and wife Sandra of Uvalde granddaughter, Alejandra Rangel of Uvalde nieces, Brandy Glenn, Amanda Flores, Monica Flores, Cynthia Flores, and Megan Moreno nephews, Jesse M. Galvan, Kevin Glenn, Armando Flores, Mario Flores, Jared Lievanos, Jay Mosqueda, Willie Moreno Jr. and Matthew Moreno. He was preceded in death by his parents. A rosary will be held on Tuesday and a vigil on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
