Jose Garcia Jr.

Mr. Jose "Joe" Garcia Jr. of Uvalde passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 70. Joe was born on May 27, 1947 in Uvalde to Jose and Maria (Juarez) Garcia. He married Alicia Negrete on January 10, 1970 in Uvalde. Joe is survived by his wife, Alicia, of 48 years, daughter, Rebecca Flores and husband Ruben of Uvalde; three sons, Jose "Tilo" Garcia III and wife Irma; Jason Garcia and wife, Clarrissa Rodriguez and Leo "Chato" Flores IV and wife Melissa all of Uvalde; sister, Martha Luna of Sun City, California; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ricardo Garcia.
A rosary will be held on Saturday, March 10 and Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A Christian Mass will be held on Monday at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
