Jose Gomez

Jose Pruneda Gomez of Uvalde passed away on Sunday November 20, 2011 at his residence at the age of 75. He was born to Eduardo and Paula Pruneda Gomez in Pharr, Texas. He married Dolores M. Gomez in Geneva, Illinois on October 24, 1970. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, daughter, Elizabeth Anne Gomez Perez of Uvalde, sons, Robert Gomez of Effingham, Illinois, Richard Gomez of Fairfield, Illinois sisters, Elvira Gomez of Chicago, Illinois, Maria Elisa Pineda of Wisconsin, Maria De La Luz Esquivel of La Pryor, brothers, Leonel Gomez of Saint Charles, Illinois, Rogelio Gomez of Edmore, Michigan, Jose Luis Gomez of Little Rock, Arkansas, grandchildren Gustavo Gomez of Cleveland, Ohio, Cody Gomez of Effingham, Illinois, Eduardo Perez of Uvalde, Natalia Perez of Uvalde, Tiffany Gomez, Daniel Gomez and Rolando Gomez all of Fairfield Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Domingo Gomez. A rosary will be held on Monday November 21, 2011 and Tuesday November 22, 2011 at 7:00 p. m. at the Rushing Estes Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 23, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary.
