Jose Jimenez

Jose E. Jimenez of Uvalde passed away on September 2, 2014 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 93. He was born on August 26, 1921 in Allende Coahuila, Mexico to Maria Cantu and Felix Jimenez. He is survived by his daughters Socorro Rodriguez, Lupe Martinez, Gloria Alejandro and companion Alfredo Sanchez, Rosa Gonzalez and husband Rogelio, Janie Yeackle and husband John, Margarita Jimenez Munoz and husband Mario all of Uvalde and Alicia Jimenez and fianc Tony Hernandez of San Antonio, sons Jaime Jimenez and wife Delia of Van Wert, Ohio Hector Jimenez, Alfredo Jimenez and Oscar Jimenez all of Uvalde, 42 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous greatgreat grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Santos Jimenez, son Jesse Jimenez, grandson Javier Jimenez, sister Vicenta J. Rosales and Maria Jimenez, brothers Apolonio Jimenez, Victorino Jimenez, Enrique Jimenez, Antonio Jimenez and Valentin Jimenez. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 6th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
